Jim Villanucci, afternoon host on 50,000 waft, News/Radio 770
KKOB in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has finished his second full ironman friathlon, August
25, 2002. The race was a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 mile run at 5,430
feet elevation in Boulder, Colorado.
Jim finished gth place in the 35-39 Men Age Group/Division. His final time was 15 Hours
and 45 minutes. This is the second full ironman he has officially finished. Last year he
competed in the U5A Triathlon Association National Championships in
Clermont, Florida. He was 34th in the National Championships in the 40 and under men, 200
pound and over ~Clydesdale division.
He has also finished two half ironmans, two Olympic distance ironmans and three marathons.
This fall he will be participating in a 600 mile, five day bike ride/ trash pick up, with
New Mexicos Governor Gary Johnson, to promote Keeping New Mexico Beautiful. |
